For Americans to become energy efficient, we must join together to break our addiction to coal, oil and natural gas.
One way is to switch our transportation to electricity. You can buy an electric car in Kansas City today. Another way is to buy a plug-in hybrid or hybrid.
I think the auto industry does us a disservice to advertise their
cars and trucks by telling the public only the highway mileage rating. For best comparison, we need to know the city mileage as well,
because hybrids, unlike standard cars, get the best mileage in city
driving.
